Job Function
This role requires both creative instinct and operational discipline. The ideal candidate understands how to communicate a mission-driven message across multiple digital platforms, can maintain two distinct but aligned organizational brand voices simultaneously, and brings a genuine commitment to the communities and causes that ORS and ORCC serve. A portfolio of prior work is strongly encouraged as part of the application. This position operates in a hybrid arrangement — combining remote content creation and digital management with in-office collaboration, community event coverage, and in-person brand representation as directed by the Chief Marketing Officer.
Responsibilities
Social Media Management
• Manage and maintain active, consistent, and on-brand social media presence across all ORS and ORCC platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
• Develop, schedule, and publish content aligned with the marketing calendar, organizational priorities, and platform-specific best practices for both ORS and ORCC.
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and community engagement across all platforms in a timely, professional, and brand-appropriate manner.
• Track social media performance metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, and impressions — compiling regular analytics reports for the Chief Marketing Officer.
• Research and apply current social media trends, platform algorithm updates, and community engagement strategies to continuously improve organic performance.
• Coordinate social media coverage of organizational events, program launches, community initiatives, and milestones in real time.
Content Creation & Copywriting
• Create compelling, mission-aligned written content for social media captions, blog posts, newsletters, press releases, program announcements, and promotional materials for both ORS and ORCC.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar that strategically plans and coordinates content across platforms, campaigns, and organizational events for both organizations.
• Write and edit copy that accurately reflects the distinct voice, audience, and purpose of each organization — distinguishing ORS as a for-profit behavioral health provider and ORCC as a mission-driven nonprofit community partner.
• Collaborate with clinical, program, and executive staff to translate organizational updates, program outcomes, and community stories into engaging public-facing content.
• Develop email marketing content and campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent tools to support outreach, donor engagement, and community communication for ORCC.
Graphic Design & Visual Branding
• Design visually consistent and professionally polished graphics, flyers, social media assets, presentation templates, event materials, and promotional collateral for ORS and ORCC using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
• Maintain and apply brand guidelines for both ORS and ORCC — ensuring consistent use of logos, color palettes, typography, and visual language across all materials and platforms.
• Support the development and ongoing refinement of ORS and ORCC brand identity assets, including logo variants, brand templates, and style guide documentation.
• Produce short-form video content, reels, stories, and multimedia assets for social media and digital marketing purposes.
• Coordinate photography and videography coverage of organizational events, programs, and community activities — including editing and preparing final assets for publication.
Website Management & Digital Presence
• Assist in maintaining and updating the ORS and ORCC websites with current program information, staff updates, news, events, and organizational resources — using platforms such as WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or equivalent CMS tools.
• Ensure website content is accurate, current, accessible, and aligned with organizational brand standards at all times.
• Support basic search engine optimization (SEO) practices, including keyword integration, meta descriptions, alt text, and content structuring to improve organic discoverability.
• Monitor website traffic and performance using Google Analytics or equivalent tools and report findings to the Chief Marketing Officer.
• Coordinate with external web developers or designers as directed by the Chief Marketing Officer for more complex website updates, redesigns, or technical needs.
Marketing Campaign Support & Community Outreach
• Assist the Chief Marketing Officer in planning, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns that support program enrollment, community awareness, donor engagement, and organizational visibility for both ORS and ORCC.
• Research and identify community events, partnership opportunities, media outlets, and digital platforms where ORS and ORCC can expand their reach and presence.
• Represent ORS and ORCC at community events, tabling opportunities, provider fairs, and public-facing engagements as a brand ambassador.
• Support the development of outreach materials, including program one-pagers, brochures, rack cards, and digital toolkits for distribution to referral partners and community stakeholders.
• Coordinate paid digital advertising campaigns on social media platforms and Google as directed, including audience targeting, budget tracking, and performance monitoring.
Analytics, Reporting & Strategy Support
• Compile weekly and monthly marketing performance reports covering social media analytics, website traffic, email campaign metrics, and campaign outcomes for the Chief Marketing Officer.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across all digital platforms and provide data-informed recommendations for content optimization and strategy adjustment.
• Support the Chief Marketing Officer in developing and refining the annual marketing plan, editorial calendar, and strategic communications framework for ORS and ORCC.
• Maintain organized digital asset libraries for photos, videos, graphics, brand files, and marketing materials for both organizations.
Education & License Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred.
• Equivalent demonstrated professional experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in lieu of a degree for candidates with exceptional creative credentials.
• Coursework or certification in digital marketing, social media management, SEO, or content strategy is a meaningful asset.
Work Experience
• This position is open to all experience levels. Entry-level candidates with strong portfolios, relevant coursework, and demonstrated creative ability are encouraged to apply alongside mid- and senior-level candidates.
• Prior experience managing social media accounts for a brand, organization, nonprofit, or agency is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience creating professional graphic design assets using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent tools is required.
• Experience with website management using WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or a comparable CMS platform is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with a mission-driven, nonprofit, healthcare, or community-based organization is a significant advantage.
• Prior experience managing multiple brand identities or supporting dual-organization marketing operations is highly valued.
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter) — including scheduling tools such as Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools: Canva (required), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) preferred.
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms: Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Insights, and platform-native analytics dashboards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and website content management is strongly preferred.
• Video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, iMovie, or equivalent) are a meaningful asset.
