The Joy is in the Journey
Isabella, 17
I was scared to talk to people and always felt like I didn’t fit in. Learning how to manage my fear helped me open up. I made new friends, and I don’t feel invisible anymore.
John, 54
Every conversation used to turn into a fight. Learning how to set healthy boundaries and rebuild trust has brought peace back into our home. Thanks to Brandden I feel like I finally have my child back.
Maya, 16
I always laughed at people who said they had a therapist. I found them to be weak until I started cutting. Therapy has literally saved my life. I don’t hate my parents anymore. Learning how to community actually saved us all.
Sophia, 15
I still have a long way to go but looking in the mirror is not so shameful anymore. I’m learning how to be kind to myself. It feels strange… but it also feels like hope. As Ms. Grillo says…I can only control myself.
Jonathan, 19
I would have never graduated HS without my BA's help! Great tutor and male role model.
Eli, 16
I used to snap at everyone for no reason until Ms. Grillo came along. Her tough love helped me learn how to deal with what's underneath the anger helped me stop pushing people away. I feel calmer, and my friendships aren't falling apart anymore.
